the owner was incredibly welcoming and offered us the most delicious breakfast every morning. the decor of the place was stunning, transporting us back in time. What we liked the most was the location. Our room had a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and it was conveniently located close to all the attractions we wanted to visit. Another great advantage was the wine and cheese served in the evenings, which made us feel truly pampered.

We spent Christmas at a lovely historic inn with great complementary breakfast and a warm fireplace in the lobby. The location was perfect, with beautiful scenery and easy access to the town's amenities. The inn had charming decorations and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
The parking was limited and the rooms were a bit small. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was spotty and we had trouble using our devices.

The breakfasts and evening wine and cheese were delicious. The rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable, perfect for a weekend getaway. The inn was conveniently located near Lake James and downtown, making it easy to explore the area. We also appreciated the outdoor gardens and fire-pit where we could relax in the evenings.
The inn lacked a bit of attention to detail. Some areas of the grounds seemed a bit neglected, and our room could have used a bit of dusting.

Spent an amazing Christmas at this incredible inn. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, perfect for a holiday getaway. The owner was friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The highlight was definitely the breakfast, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The location was also ideal, with beautiful outdoor gardens and convenient access to downtown and the nearby lake. Would highly recommend for a festive holiday stay.
While there weren't any major negatives, the inn could benefit from having more amenities available. It would have been nice to have a fitness center or a pool on-site for guests to use.
